AI & Business

I Tried Sintra AI to Run My Businesses — Does It Do What It Says on the Tin?

The Promise: 12 AI Employees Working Around the Clock

Let me set the scene. I'm running two businesses — Zippy Bright Launderette and Cumbria Bright Professional Cleaning — and I'm always looking for ways to work smarter. When I came across Sintra AI promising a team of 12 AI "employees" that could handle everything from marketing to customer support, I had to try it.

At $97 a month, it's not cheap. But if it genuinely saved me 10+ hours a week? That's a bargain compared to hiring actual staff.

So I signed up, rolled my sleeves up, and put it through its paces across both businesses. Here's what actually happened.

What Sintra AI Actually Is

Sintra AI isn't just another ChatGPT wrapper. It gives you 12 specialised AI agents, each designed for a different business function:

  • SEO helper — keyword research, content optimisation
  • Social media manager — post scheduling, caption writing
  • Email marketer — campaign drafts, subject lines
  • Customer support agent — response templates, FAQ handling
  • Content writer — blog posts, website copy
  • CRM manager — lead tracking, follow-ups

The idea is that instead of one generic chatbot, you get a team of specialists. Sounds brilliant on paper.

What Worked Well

Social Media Content

I'll give credit where it's due — the social media helper was genuinely useful. I fed it information about Zippy Bright's services, and it generated a month's worth of social media posts in about 20 minutes. The captions were decent, the hashtag suggestions were relevant, and it saved me hours of staring at a blank screen.

Email Drafts

For Cumbria Bright, I used the email helper to draft follow-up emails for new cleaning enquiries. The templates it produced were professional and actually sounded like something I'd write. A few tweaks here and there, but 80% of the work was done.

Blog Content Ideas

The content writer helped me brainstorm blog topics for this very website. It understood the "zero to £200k" angle and suggested topics that would genuinely resonate with my audience. Some of those ideas are now in my content calendar.

Where It Falls Short

The "Execution Gap"

Here's the honest truth: Sintra AI is great at generating content and ideas, but it can't actually execute the work. It'll write you a social media post, but it won't post it. It'll draft an email, but it won't send it. It'll suggest SEO improvements, but it won't implement them on your website.

For someone like me who's already stretched thin running two businesses, I need tools that do the thing, not just tell me what to do.

Not Built for Service Businesses

The AI agents are clearly designed for online businesses — e-commerce, SaaS, digital marketing agencies. When I tried to use them for the specific challenges of running a launderette (scheduling pickups, managing linen contracts, handling commercial clients), they struggled. The responses were generic and didn't understand the nuances of a physical service business.

The Price Question

At $97/month, you're paying £75+ for what is essentially a very good content generation tool. For that money, I could:

  • Pay for Canva Pro (£10/month) for social media graphics
  • Use ChatGPT Plus (£20/month) for the same content generation
  • Subscribe to a proper scheduling tool (£15/month) that actually posts for me
  • Still have £30 left over

The maths just don't add up for a small business owner watching every penny.

My Verdict: 6/10

Sintra AI is a solid concept with genuine potential, but it's not quite there yet for someone running real-world service businesses. If you're a digital marketer or online business owner, you'll probably get more value from it than I did.

For my cleaning and laundry businesses, I found that a combination of ChatGPT, Canva, and dedicated scheduling tools gave me better results at a lower cost.

The bottom line: It does some of what it says on the tin, but not all of it. And for £75+ a month, I need it to do all of it.

What I'm Using Instead

After testing Sintra, here's my actual tech stack for running both businesses:

ToolCostWhat It Does
ChatGPT Plus£20/monthContent ideas, email drafts, business strategy
Canva Pro£10/monthSocial media graphics, price lists, flyers
Google Business ProfileFreeLocal SEO, reviews, visibility
Manus AIVariesWebsite building, automation, this very site
WhatsApp BusinessFreeCustomer communication, booking confirmations

Total cost: roughly £30-40/month vs Sintra's £75+. And I get more done.

Should You Try It?

If you're curious, Sintra does offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, so there's minimal risk in testing it yourself. Every business is different, and your mileage may vary.

But if you're running a service business like mine — cleaning, laundry, trades, hospitality — I'd suggest starting with the free and cheaper tools first. Master those, then consider whether a premium AI platform adds enough value to justify the cost.

The best tool is the one you actually use. And for me, that's a lean stack of focused tools rather than one platform trying to do everything.

Have you tried Sintra AI or any other AI tools for your business? I'd love to hear your experience. Drop me a message through the contact form or connect with me on social media.
